The overarching goal is to identify what Randolph College can do beyond its current Title IX policies and programs to ensure ours is a campus where students always feel safe and respected.
We want to understand what is and is not working, what deficiencies must be addressed, what efforts should be amplified, what roles each member of the community should play and then how to institutionalize these elements.
Ultimately we want to implement short- and long-term recommendations designed to promote positive change.
As President Bateman wrote in August, “We hurt for anyone who has experienced sexual assault. We have a responsibility to acknowledge and respect the courage that it takes to publicly share these painful memories. This institution has always taught its students to speak up for what they believe is right… we have seen you stand with one another with compassion and strength. Most importantly, we hear you.”
